Face Time: Up Close + Personal with Chaz Easterly

A healthy relationship with your skin is one worth investing in.

No matter who we are, where we live or how we spend our days, we all share something in common — the sense of empowerment we find when we feel confident in our skin. At Skin Pharm, we get to witness this daily — and we’re sharing those stories with you through Face Time, a Q+A series that celebrates and elevates members of our community!

Whether it’s applying SPF by the ocean or regular treatments at Skin Pharm Alpharetta, Linen + Flax Co. founder and creative director Chaz Easterly knows the value of tending to her skin. It takes time, intention and care — but the long-term results are worth it.

After spending much of her youth in the Florida sun, this self-proclaimed beach girl is now finding her glow elsewhere — in a commitment to holistic health, skin care and looking as good as she feels.

How long have you been coming to Skin Pharm?

I’ve been coming to Skin Pharm for four months, and I’ve loved it. Where has it been my whole life?!

What’s your favorite treatment to get, and how does it make you feel?

I’ve loved microneedling with PRP. I’d never done it prior to coming to Skin Pharm, and I was a little concerned at first — there are needles going into your face! But it was very mild. It didn’t hurt. I’ve done it three times now, and I really feel like I’ve seen a difference in my fine lines. I feel like I have a glow, and I do feel like my skin looks better. It’s been amazing.

What are your top three routine staples?

Choosing three is tough — I love the whole line! But I really love Sheer Defense SPF. I used it for the past two weeks at the beach and never put makeup on! It kept my face looking dewy and glowy and protected. I never got sunburned, so that was awesome.

I also love Youth Serum. I use it every day, and I love how it makes my skin feel. It also gives you that glow. And I love the High Beam brightening lotion — it’s probably my favorite out of everything!

Tell us a bit about your relationship to your skin. How has it evolved, and what role does it play in your daily life?

Skin care plays a big role in my daily life. I’m on camera all the time for my job, so whether I’m watching videos back or posting photos on our website or social media, I want my skin to look great. I think you can have great makeup or you can have great skin, and I invest in great skin.

I lived in Florida when I was younger and spent a lot of time in the sun. I didn’t realize the damage that UV exposure does to your skin. My relationship with my skin now is about reversing some of that damage and investing more in my skin care and treatments.

For me, that means coming and getting a great facial and staying on top of my skin care. It’s all to get to the point of wearing less makeup. If I can be the girl who doesn’t wear a lot of makeup, that’s who I want to be, and I think it starts with great skin.

Skin care aside, what are some other ways you take care of yourself?

I really believe in whole health. Skin care is essential because if you look good, you feel good! I love exercise — it’s another part of my life that’s super important. A good sleep schedule pairs beautifully with good skin, too! If I get my eight hours, I’m just a better person. Eating whole foods, spending time with family and faith are huge, too — you know, all the holistic things in life. That’s what really gives you the inner glow. Faith, happiness, love — all of it! Those are the things that I value.
