Properly cleansing your skin is an essential skin care step.
Why? Because it removes impurities you've inevitably picked up from makeup and your environment.
And while this is the obvious first step in your skin care routine each evening, remember you also need to cleanse your face in the morning (even just with water!) and after you exercise. If you’re exercising midday or after work, be sure to wash your face before your workout to remove any makeup and other irritants before you sweat. Leaving your makeup on during a workout can increase chances of breaking out. (More on that here.) If you worry that cleansing could irritate your skin, you can substitute micellar water or gentle towelettes before and after workouts, too.
Let’s get down and dirty on what the best cleanser is for your skin type.
Great for all skin types, especially those with oily, combination or acne-prone skin.
This gel cleanser combines papaya extract and botanical extracts (licorice root, aloe, chamomile and more) with salicylic acid and glycerin to deeply cleanse and brighten skin.
Why papaya? Papaya enzymes are rich in Vitamins A, C, E and K, providing superior antioxidant protection. Aloe vera and green tea extract have anti-inflammatory properties, reducing redness and soothing skin while salicylic acid fights acne.
Powerful but gentle, this cleanser uses a mild chemical exfoliation to remove dead skin cells that can clog pores and lead to breakouts.
Use twice daily. Dispense 2-3 pumps of Power Wash into hand and massage onto dry face and eye area. Add warm water to form a lather, then rinse clean.
Ideal for all skin types, especially those with dry and sensitive skin.
This hydrating cleanser gently yet thoroughly removes makeup and environmental pollutants from your face while nourishing skin. It effectively cleans skin without stripping and calms redness and irritation, too.
This pH-balanced cleanser contains botanical ingredients (rose flower water, cucumber fruit, aloe and galanga) that won’t result in tight, irritated skin. After using, your skin will feel clean, refreshed and soothed.
Use twice daily. Dispense 2-3 pumps of Gentle Rinse into hand and massage onto dry face and eye area. Add warm water to form a lather, then rinse clean.
Works well with most skin types — normal, combination, oily and acne-prone, too.
A couple of times a week, add in an exfoliating step to your cleansing routine. Clay Time is a polishing charcoal mask that'll help you achieve a healthy glow and silky, smooth skin from head to toe. Gentle quartz removes dry and dead skin cells from the skin’s surface, while salicylic acid washes away excess oils and thoroughly cleanses pores. The result? A brighter, more even skin tone all over.
After cleansing, apply to skin (avoiding eye area) and leave on for up to three minutes. Gently massage using a circular motion. Rinse with warm water and pat dry. Building up use gradually can help prevent irritation. Use 2-3x per week for your healthiest complexion yet!
