What is the downtime like?
Treatment requires minimal downtime, so you can return to your daily routine immediately after injections!

What’s the difference between Botox and Dysport?
Botox and Dysport are both purified proteins that effectively block muscle contraction, but they have slightly different molecular makeup. They accomplish the same goal — it’s all about which you prefer! Your provider can help determine the best option for you.

Are there any side effects I should know about?
Side effects are usually mild and mostly include swelling or bruising at the injection site, mild headache or flu-like symptoms. Undesired impairment of muscle function may also occur, but this is usually associated with poor technique or inappropriate patient selection. Because smaller doses are less likely to cause unintended adverse effects, a conservative approach to treatment is advisable.

Does it hurt?
The needle is extremely small, so you may feel mild discomfort — but nothing more than a pin prick. Other than the injection itself, the treatment is painless.

I’m pregnant or breastfeeding. Is this safe for me?
Botox and Dysport injections should not be performed on those who are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Subtly fill fine lines and restore areas with lost volume — a simple way to smooth, lift and contour.
Best For:
Temples, under-eyes, cheeks, smile lines, lips, nasolabial folds, chin, jawline, necklines and scars.

What is the downtime like?
Redness, swelling, bruising and soreness are common immediately after your injections, but these shouldn’t prevent you from returning to your routine! If you’re concerned about social downtime, we recommend scheduling injections accordingly.

When will I see results?
You’ll see results immediately after treatment. Most filler results last between 6-12 months.

Does it hurt?
We’ll use topical anesthetics to minimize discomfort during your treatment. All Juvederm and Restylane fillers contain lidocaine, which has been proven to reduce pain, too.

Are there any side effects I should know about?
The most common side effects include bruising, swelling and redness. We’ll give you ice packs immediately following your injections to help minimize swelling!

I’m pregnant or breastfeeding. Can I get filler?
Filler injections should not be performed on those who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
MICRONEEDLING
Why It’s Special:
This multitasking treatment improves acne scarring, uneven texture and pigment and the overall look and feel of your skin.
Best For:
Fine lines, deep wrinkles, sun damage, melasma, acne scarring, hair loss, dullness and stretch marks.
Frequency:
Melasma and scarring: every 4-6 weeks; age management: every 12 weeks. 4-6 treatments are recommended for best results.
Pricing:
$500+ per treatment.

What is the downtime like?

Results are typically noticeably within one week and continue to improve over time. When treating concerns such as melasma and deep lines or wrinkles, you may need several treatments before noticing results.

We’ll apply topical numbing cream before treatment to minimize potential discomfort. Many patients find the treatment relaxing!

Are there side effects I should know about?
The most common side effects are redness and sensitivity, but these should subside within 24 hours.

I’m pregnant or breastfeeding. Can I get microneedling?
We recommend getting clearance from your OBGYN prior to treatment if you’re pregnant or breastfeeding.

Who do I meet with for my consult and/or treatment?
You’ll always meet with a board-certified NP or PA at Skin Pharm. All of our providers have specialty training in cosmetic dermatology, provide natural, never-overdone results and are committed to each patient’s individual skin care journey.
What does the cost of my skin consult cover?
Your deposit goes toward time with one of our board-certified providers and can be applied to products purchased or treatments received during your appointment.
If you’re in Alpharetta, Austin, Charleston, Franklin, Houston, Raleigh or Southlake, your first skin consult is complimentary!What if I don’t purchase anything at this appointment?
The $150 consult cost will then go toward your provider’s time. We hope you find the skin consult valuable and find a product routine or treatment plan suitable for you!

Cancellation policy
Notify us at least 24 hours ahead of your appointment to cancel or reschedule. For Monday appointments, we ask that you cancel or reschedule by Friday of the week prior.
If you arrive more than 15 minutes late for an appointment, we will do our best to see you, but you may be asked to reschedule.
For no-shows and late cancellations, we’ll charge $150 to your card on file.
