Roma Anand MSN, NP-C

Nurse Practitioner | Atlanta, GA

”Every patient has their own skin care goals, and I’m here to help curate an individualized treatment plan — both in and out of the office — for you!”

Roma is a native of New Jersey and completed her undergraduate degree at University of Rochester in upstate New York. She was initially drawn down south to Atlanta to complete her post-graduate bachelor’s and master’s degree in nursing from Emory University as a dual board-certified Nurse Practitioner in Acute and Primary Care. Prior to joining Skin Pharm, Roma worked in Internal + Pulmonary Medicine for 5 years.

During the pandemic in 2020, Roma had to adapt and stay up to date on new research and information to provide the best possible care for her pulmonary patients. Though she always knew it was her passion to work in aesthetic dermatology, she put that aspiration on hold during the paramount years of the COVID pandemic.

Roma’s passion for dermatology began at a young age when she spent summers at the beach — with big sun hats and lots of SPF! She had trouble finding makeup that truly matched her skin color, so she did everything she could to try and avoid skin damage. However, her love for medical-grade skin care and procedures grew significantly in 2019 after she experienced an unusual inflammatory skin reaction just four months before her big fat Indian wedding!

Despite trials with various steroid ointments, calming lotions and antibiotics, her skin was slow to heal. This is when she turned to social media and began following many skin care accounts, including Skin Pharm of course!

She began a diligent skin care routine, using medical-grade skin care products including exfoliants, vitamin C, retinol and SPF along with in-office treatments of microneedling and chemical peels. Her commitment to this routine left her skin looking better than ever at her wedding, renewing her self-confidence on this big day!

Outside of Skin Pharm, Roma enjoys anything and everything related to self-care, including meditation, reading and long walks. She is always looking for recommendations for new travel destinations, restaurants and wines that she can enjoy with her husband, friends and family.

A note from Roma –

I’ve struggled with my own skin care and confidence journey over the last few years. I’ve learned that it’s okay (and even normal!) to feel vulnerable when discussing skin care concerns and aesthetic desires.

We can work together to form and reinforce healthy lifestyle and skin habits. I’m here to listen to your concerns, answer your questions and help you become your most confident self. Let’s get comfortable with uncomfortable situations!
