Hydration plays a significant role in the health of your skin.
Dullness and dryness are obvious indicators of dehydrated skin, but a lack of hydration impacts your skin’s texture, plumpness and overall quality, too. In addition to your moisturizer, one of the best ways to support balanced hydration is with hyaluronic acid — the key ingredient found in Skinvive, a microdroplet injectable that plumps, smooths and gives skin a lasting glow.
When you hear hyaluronic acid, you might think filler — but Skinvive isn’t used to add volume. Today, our Franklin provider and physician assistant Lauren Ehrhart, PA-C explains how Skinvive boosts skin from within.
Watch the full episode below or read on for the recap!
Skinvive is a hyaluronic acid injectable, but it’s not a traditional filler. It’s truly a skin booster. While filler is used to add volume, Skinvive is injected as microdroplets to plump and smooth fine lines and hydrate the skin from within.
Most commonly, Skinvive is injected throughout the midface to improve set-in fine lines, dullness, lax skin and texture. I also really like using it in the lips. If you’re someone who doesn’t want significant volume, Skinvive is a great option to give you that plump, hydrated look, almost like you’re wearing a nice lip gloss.
One of the unique things about Skinvive is actually how thin the product is. Whenever we’re comparing it with a traditional filler, you’ll see that filler is a little bit more structured, because we use it to add volume or contour the face. Skinvive is a much thinner product, and its whole purpose is to add hydration, plump, smooth and improve your complexion.
One of my favorite things about Skinvive is that nearly everyone is a good candidate! We can really tailor your treatment depending on the results you want, whether that be subtle hydration and glowy, glass-looking skin or improving fine lines and smoothing texture.
