Each is formulated differently, but a provider can help pick the one that's best suited for you.
Quick answer: Lip filler offered at Skin Pharm is made with hyaluronic acid (HA), the same hydrating molecule your skin already produces naturally. Skin Pharm offers Juvederm and four Restylane formulas (Refyne, L, Kiss, and Defyne). Each is built for a different look, from soft hydration to enhanced definition.

If you’ve been researching lip filler, you’ve probably noticed there’s more than one option out there. That’s good news: it means there’s a formula suited to exactly what you want. Skin Pharm’s advanced practice providers help you choose based on your lips’ natural shape, volume and goals.
Here’s a breakdown of the lip filler types Skin Pharm offers and why we like each one.
Most dermal fillers use one of three active ingredients: hyaluronic acid (HA), poly-l-lactic acid (PLLA) or calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA). For lips specifically, HA is the standard. Your body already makes it to keep skin hydrated and plump, so it gives you immediate, natural-looking results without asking your tissue to do anything unusual. Juvederm and Restylane, the two fillers Skin Pharm uses, are both HA-based and contain a bit of lidocaine to keep injections comfortable.
Refyne is a good fit if you want a soft “gloss” look, some hydration and support, without dramatic volume.
If you already have decent natural lip volume and just want a little extra support, Restylane L adds subtle fullness without overdoing it.
This is the one we get asked about most. Kysse smooths lip lines and adds volume that still moves and looks like your own lip tissue, which is why it’s a favorite for people who want to look like a better version of themselves rather than “done.” A lot of first-time filler patients end up here.
Want more shape and structure? Defyne gives more projection and definition, which makes it a solid option for deeper-set lip lines.
Juvederm is the other HA-based filler Skin Pharm offers. Like Restylane, it’s formulated with lidocaine and plumps and hydrates the lips with natural-looking results.
Skinvive is HA-based too, but it works differently. It’s injected as microdroplets to boost hydration and smooth fine lines around the lips instead of adding volume. If you want a hydration boost without more lip size, this is it.
Sculptra is a biostimulator made from poly-l-lactic acid (PLLA). It stimulates your body’s own collagen production over time. That’s useful in areas like the temples, cheeks and jawline, where gradual volume restoration is the goal. But collagen stimulation isn’t what you want in lips. You want instant, natural-looking volume, and that’s what HA-based fillers give you.
What are the different types of lip filler?
Skin Pharm offers several hyaluronic acid-based lip fillers: Juvederm and the Restylane family (Refyne, L, Kysse and Defyne). Each is formulated for a different result, from soft hydration to more defined projection.
What's the difference between Restylane and Juvederm?
Both are hyaluronic acid-based and both contain lidocaine for comfort. The real difference is in formulation: how each product moves and settles once it’s in the lip. Your provider will recommend whichever fits your goals better.
Is Sculptra used for lip filler?
No. Sculptra is a poly-l-lactic acid biostimulator that works by stimulating collagen, and that’s not the goal when treating lips. Skin Pharm reserves Sculptra for areas like the temples, cheeks and jawline, where gradual volume restoration makes sense.
How long does lip filler last?
Most people see results last 6-12 months, though it depends on your metabolism and how many treatments you’ve had. Patients who build their lips up over multiple sessions often find their results hold longer.
Does lip filler hurt?
Most patients feel minimal discomfort. Juvederm and Restylane both contain lidocaine, and your provider will apply a topical numbing cream beforehand to keep you comfortable throughout the appointment.

Is lip filler the same as a lip flip?
No. Lip filler uses hyaluronic acid to add volume and shape. Alip flip uses Botox or Dysport to relax the upper lip muscle for a more defined look without adding volume. Some patients do both for a fuller, more defined look.
