Moxi rejuvenates your skin from the inside out.
Unlike some laser treatments that work on the skin’s surface, Moxi works beneath it to promote cell turnover, reduce pigment and refine texture. Today, our Franklin provider Micheletta Crump, NP-C gives us a lesson on this light therapy treatment, how it works and why we love it for any skin type or tone. Moxi is a non-ablative laser treatment that targets water molecules up underneath the surface of the skin. Essentially, it pulls out those old, hyperpigmented cells and replaces them with new, healthy cells. Moxi treats hyperpigmentation, melasma, fine lines and wrinkles, acne scarring, uneven texture and dullness. We can do Moxi on your face, neck, chest and the backs of your hands — anywhere you have pigment concerns. I get this question a lot! A BBL photofacial is a pulsed light therapy that picks up on pigment, but it also helps with vascular structures — perfect for redness. It’s not recommended for darker complexions or those with melasma because it targets chromophores, which produce melanin. Moxi, on the other hand, is a resurfacing treatment that targets pigment, pores and texture while boosting collagen. One of my favorite things about Moxi is that it’s safe for all skin types and tones. This is because it targets water within cells rather than melanin. The BBL photofacial will target more of the reds on the skin, and Moxi will reduce pigment and polish overall texture.
