Yes! The non-ablative 1927nm wavelength targets water within the skin, making it safe and gentle on all skin tones and types. While Moxi is safe on tanned skin, we recommend avoiding excessive sun exposure two weeks prior to treatment.
You might feel a mild tingling or pricking sensation, but Moxi doesn’t hurt. We’ll apply topical numbing cream before your treatment to make sure you’re as comfortable as possible.
Compared to other laser treatments, Moxi requires minimal downtime. Your skin may be red and feel warm immediately following treatment, but this usually subsides within 24-48 hours. The healing process takes between 7-10 days — keep reading for more details!
After a few days, treated pigment will appear darker and rough in texture. This should slough off within 7-10 days, revealing renewed skin beneath. You may start seeing results after one treatment, but we typically recommend three treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart for best results.
