“My goal as a provider is to always meet you where you are, listen to your goals and give you my honest opinion — because at the end of the day, we’re on the same team!”
Carley was born and raised in Annapolis, Maryland and headed south to the University of South Carolina for her undergraduate degree. Upon completing her BSN program, she returned to the D.C. area, where she worked as a nurse in a local emergency department. While Carley had no intentions of leaving, she had a gut feeling about a job opening in Charleston and decided to go for it. She’s called South Carolina home ever since.
After moving to Charleston in 2016, Carley continued working in emergency medicine, urgent care and as a clinical instructor. She loved caring for patients, getting to know them and hearing their stories — but she wasn’t able to develop long-lasting, supportive relationships with them. This led her to pursue her Nurse Practitioner degree at the University of South Carolina (Go Cocks!), where she graduated with honors in 2022.
Since then, Carley has worked as an NP in urgent care and plastic surgery. It was here that she found not only the provider/patient relationships she was looking for, but also a true passion for helping others feel comfortable and confident in their own skin.
Carley discovered Skin Pharm on social media early on in her aesthetic career. She quickly realized that she shared her values with many Skin Pharm providers and saw them as inspiration for her own approach as a provider. Carley is beyond excited and grateful to continue her career at Skin Pharm Charleston!
In her free time, Carley enjoys practicing yoga, getting lost in a book and experimenting in the kitchen. She loves beach days with friends and boat rides with her fiancé and their sweet pups — especially when there’s shark tooth hunting involved.
“I’m so excited to be a part of your skin health journey! Advice I always give my patients is that you’ve got to find what works for you. You likely may not need the same products or treatments as your mom, friend or sibling. I’m here to help you navigate and figure out what will get you closer to your goals. My goal as a provider is to always meet you where you are, listen to your goals and give you my honest opinion — because at the end of the day, we’re on the same team!”
