Here’s our plan
- Schedule your appointment at least 24 hours prior to a special event. Redness and sensitivity may be apparent in that time period.
- Let the provider know if you have a history of cold sores. An antiviral may be prescribed.
- You may not have an active rash in the area being treated.
- Avoidance of Accutane for the past 6 months is required.
- Avoidance of laser procedures and waxing for the past 7 days is required.
- Discontinue topical retinoids 24 hours before treatment to reduce sensitivity.
- If pregnant, you must receive clearance from OB/GYN.
- We mix a proprietary cocktail of vitamins and super hydrating antioxidants depending on your skin concerns.
- We gently stamp these ingredients under your skin with our microinfusion device made of 24K mini needles.
- You leave with plump, glowing skin – ready to take on the day!
- Redness or sensitivity might be present (and last up 24 hours).
- Do not pick or scratch at treated skin.
- Avoid strenuous exercise or sweating for 24 hours due to open skin.
- Avoid sun tanning and prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.
- If exposed to the sun, always use broad spectrum SPF 30+ and reapply every 2 hours.
- Recommend follow up and repeat treatments in 4-6 weeks when treating acne, scars and hyperpigmentation and in 12 weeks for age management.
- Best results are obtained in a series of 4-6 treatments.
FAQs
How is Gold Infusion different from microneedling?
The Gold Infusion delivers tiny punctures and ingredients 0.6mm into the skin. Microneedling treatments range anywhere from 0.1-2.5mm deep. Microneedling tends to have a slightly longer recovery time and is a treatment for more severe sun damage, pigmentation and deeper lines and wrinkles.
What is the downtime? Can I go back to work after my treatment?
It is common to notice mild redness and swelling immediately after the procedure. This quickly subsides.
When will I see results?
You will notice glowing, plump skin immediately after the procedure. Results will also improve with time!
How long do results last?
Results from treatment are permanent. We recommend diligent lifestyle measures and a Skin Pharm skin care routine to maintain results.
Does it hurt?
The procedure is well tolerated and well accepted by patients. No anesthesia is needed.
