With warmer weather on the way and more sun on your skin, it’s time to give your routine a refresh!
Just like your wardrobe changes seasonally, your skin care routine should, too. Protect against pigmentation and maintain balanced hydration with these four summer skin care staples!
Spring and summer often mean high humidity and hotter temperatures, which can make it hard to judge how much hydration your skin needs. If you're in a more humid environment, a lightweight moisturizer like Youth Serum is just the thing. In addition to its hydrating properties, Youth Serum can also help calm and soothe inflammation and redness, which can be caused by too much sun exposure. Plus, it contains antioxidants that inhibit pigment production.
Second only to sunscreen (more on that later), a medical-grade vitamin C serum, like our Glow Factor, offers essential protection against UV damage. Not only does it boost collagen for a healthy, glowing complexion, but vitamin C also combats oxidative stress that comes with increased sun exposure. This means it’ll help decrease signs of aging, like fine lines, wrinkles and sun spots.
High Beam brightening lotion is a great moisturizer for those in drier climates or with particularly dry skin. Made with hexylresorcinol, arbutin and a blend of botanical extracts, this lightweight formula is super hydrating, helps minimize unwanted dark spots and stops pigment from forming in the first place!
Warmer temperatures usually mean more time outside. With this increase in sun exposure in mind, the most important product to keep in regular rotation is an easily-wearable SPF, like our Sheer Defense or 100% Mineral Tinted SPF. Formulated with vitamin E and hyaluronic acid, these SPFs do more than protect — they hydrate skin and slow signs of aging, too.
Both offer lightweight, tinted coverage on their own and layer nicely under makeup, too. Prefer something without a tint? We've got you covered with Clear Defense.
