Frequency and pricing
Frequency:
- For melasma, pigment concerns or texture concerns, 3-4 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart are recommended for best results.
- For anti-aging benefits or maintenance, 2-3 treatments per year are recommended for best results.

Here’s our plan
- Discontinue photosensitive-causing medications two weeks prior to treatment.
- If pregnant or breastfeeding, you must receive clearance from your OB-GYN.
- Avoid excessive sun exposure two weeks prior to treatment.
- We’ll apply topical numbing cream to ensure you’re comfortable during treatment.
- After about 30 minutes, we’ll clean your skin, give you protective eyewear and begin zapping away unwanted skin concerns.
- We’ll assess your skin throughout treatment to monitor for improvement.
- We’ll massage serums and SPF onto your skin to hydrate and protect.
- We’ll send you home with our post-procedure kit to use for the next 7-10 days — you’ll notice bright, refreshed skin within a week!
- Skin may feel warm for a couple hours after treatment.
- Redness is common immediately following treatment. This typically subsides within 24-48 hours.
- Avoid wearing makeup for 24 hours.
- Do not use retinols or acids for 10 days post-treatment. We’ll send you home with our post-procedure kit to use for 7-10 days.
- Avoid direct sun exposure on the treatment area for 2 weeks post-treatment.
FAQs
Is Moxi safe for darker skin types?
Yes! The non-ablative 1927nm wavelength targets water within the skin, making it safe and gentle on all skin tones and types. While Moxi is safe on tanned skin, we recommend avoiding excessive sun exposure two weeks prior to treatment.
What does it feel like?
You might feel a mild tingling or pricking sensation, but Moxi doesn’t hurt. We’ll apply topical numbing cream before your treatment to make sure you’re as comfortable as possible.
What’s the downtime like?
Moxi requires minimal downtime. Your skin may be red and feel warm immediately following treatment, but this usually subsides within 24-48 hours.
When will I see results?
After a few days, treated pigment will appear darker and rough in texture. This should slough off within 3-5 days to reveal renewed skin beneath. You’ll see results within about a week, but we recommend three treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart for best results.
Are there any side effects?
Your skin may feel warm and appear red immediately after treatment, but this should subside within 24-48 hours.
