Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, Austin completed her undergraduate degree at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. She went on to earn a second bachelor’s degree in nursing at the University of Maryland and her Masters in Nursing from Simmons University in Boston, Massachusetts. A board-certified nurse practitioner, Austin brings 12 years of experience to Skin Pharm.
While her experience ranges from clinical research to working in the ER, facial aesthetics is Austin’s true passion. Her godfather and renowned plastic surgeon, Dr. James Namnoum, inspired this interest at an early age. During her high school, college and graduate school years, Austin often shadowed her godfather and his injectors to gain more insight into the world of aesthetics and facial rejuvenation.
For the past four years, Austin has worked in the aesthetics field in Mount Pleasant. During this time, she’s gained a strong knowledge base for injectables, lasers, microneedling treatments and regenerative medicine. She believes that aesthetics isn’t one-size-fits all and she’s excited to work closely with her patients to create personalized skin care plans.
When she’s not seeing patients at Skin Pharm Charleston, you can find Austin in a hot yoga class downtown, hitting balls on the tennis court, watching live music with friends or spending time with her beloved English lab, Goose.
