Complexion Class 14: A Routine to Maintain Your Botox/Dysport Results

Complexion Class 14: A Routine to Maintain Your Botox/Dysport Results

Investing in treatments like Botox/Dysport?

Invest in your skin care routine, too! While you can’t replace the effects of Botox/Dysport, you can complement them — and maximize your results — with a consistent, clinically-proven routine.

Today, our Southlake provider and nurse practitioner Emily Sluss, FNP-C recommends four products to help maintain your results and support overall skin health.

How do Botox/Dysport and skin care work together?

We inject Botox/Dysport into the muscular area of the face, most commonly in our 11s, forehead, crow’s feet, mentalis and even the lips. When you use clinically-proven skin care products alongside Botox/Dysport, you’re going to have the most glowing complexion and the best integrative approach for healthy skin.

Which skin care products should I incorporate into my routine?

Look for targeted treatments that help improve the look of fine lines, as well as products that prevent new ones from forming.

Best for crow’s feet: Eye Sculpt

Crow’s feet are the little lines we get around our eyes. When we inject Botox/Dysport, we’re blocking the nerve signals that cause those muscles to contract. This prevents those lines from deepening while softening lines at rest.

Adding an eye cream, like Eye Sculpt, to your routine can complement the effects of Botox/Dysport by improving elasticity and hydration. Eye Sculpt contains caffeine, which helps de-puff the under-eyes and firm the skin, too.

Best for the forehead and 11s: Youth Serum

Another common area where we inject Botox/Dysport is the forehead or 11s. While Botox/Dysport relaxes those muscles and improves the look of expression lines, incorporating a hyaluronic acid serum, like Youth Serum, helps keep your skin plump, hydrated and youthful.

Best for prevention: SPF and Night Watch

Sunscreen is a must in your morning routine. This helps prevent photodamage and collagen loss, which can lead to premature signs of aging. Wearing a moisturizing SPF daily can help maintain firmness and elasticity.

Adding a retinol serum, like our Night Watch, to your nighttime routine promotes cell turnover, improves texture and tone and prevents fine lines from forming. Using this in conjunction with Botox/Dysport results in smoother, healthier-looking skin.
