Complexion Class 17: A Regenerative Volumizer

Complexion Class 17: A Regenerative Volumizer

Looking for a natural way to restore volume?

Platelet-rich plasma, or PRP, is one of the most versatile ways to rejuvenate your skin. We can add it to microneedling to promote cell regeneration, inject it to stimulate hair growth and include it in a Gold Infusion to reduce dullness and dark spots.

When used to make PRP gel, it’s also an effective — and completely natural — way to create volume and facial harmony. Today, our Dallas provider Isabelle Archer, PA-C explains how!

Watch the full episode below or read on for the recap.

How does PRP become PRP gel?

PRP gel uses your body’s platelet-rich plasma to naturally restore volume and improve skin quality. To create PRP gel, we take a small sample of your blood. We’ll separate your plasma and then heat and cool it, which turns it into a smooth, gel-like consistency.

What areas can be treated with PRP gel?

PRP gel can be injected wherever you’re experiencing volume loss, so we often treat areas like the under-eyes, mid-cheek and smile lines.

What are the benefits of PRP gel?

What’s great about PRP gel is that it’s natural. It’s your body’s own blood — it contains no additives or synthetic materials — so your body completely recognizes it. This means it’s virtually risk-free.

How is PRP gel different from filler?

Unlike hyaluronic acid fillers that only add volume, PRP gel also stimulates collagen production. You’ll leave your appointment with soft, natural-looking results while improving skin quality, too.

PRP gel continues to activate your body’s repair system after injections, so your results will only get better with time! You’ll notice a visibly healthier, more radiant complexion within a few weeks.
