Non-Surgical Brow Lifts: A Complete Guide

Non-Surgical Brow Lifts: A Complete Guide

If you want a subtle brow lift without undergoing an invasive procedure, we’ve got you covered with non-surgical options.

What is a brow lift?

A brow lift physically lifts your eyebrows, tightens the forehead skin and eliminates forehead wrinkles, ultimately making your skin look smoother and more youthful.

Historically, a brow lift often required surgery (AKA: you need anesthesia) — nowadays, though, the you can achieve the look of a brow lift with simpler, less invasive approaches.

What's the benefit of taking the non-surgical route?

Non-surgical brow lifts are hassle-free — there’s no anesthesia and virtually no recovery time. There are a few different non-surgical brow lift options — all of which can be done relatively quickly. Depending on which treatment you choose, you'll see results immediately or within just a couple of weeks.

You won't need significant recovery time from these treatments, either — just wait a day or so for the redness and swelling to go down, follow the post-treatment guidelines from your provider and enjoy the results. The non-surgical route is quick, easy and effective.

What are some non-surgical brow lift options?

These days, there are a few different methods you can consider for a non-surgical brow lift. Here are some of our favorite treatments — we can help create a treatment plan that works best for you!

Botox injections

The fan-favorite non-surgical brow lift treatment is Botox injections

Here’s how it works: Botox gets injected under the skin by the eyebrows. It blocks nerve signals, making the eyebrow muscles relax (essentially paralyzing them).

Brow lift Botox injections, available at any Skin Pharm clinic, lift your brows by relaxing your eyebrow muscles, making your forehead appear tight and smooth.

Botox is a reliable non-surgical brow lift option with a nearly nonexistent downtime. Treatment only takes a few minutes, and you'll start seeing results within two weeks. We can apply numbing cream to make your injections painless — but the needles we use are so tiny, you won't feel anything more than a pinch! Afterward, there’s generally minimal swelling and redness that should go away by the next day.

You’ll need to come in for more treatments after a few months to maintain your results, but otherwise, it’s a breezy treatment — and best of all, it really works.

Dermal filler

Another popular non-surgical brow lift method is dermal fillers. Like Botox, filler is versatile and can be used in many different contexts. For a brow lift, filler gets injected around the temples and brows to raise your brows and make your skin appear tighter.

Soft tissue fillers will be injected into the desired area (in this case, the brow area), and results will be noticeable immediately. With ingredients like hyaluronic acid, dermal filler helps bring volume to your face.

Your forehead will be tighter and smoother, giving you an overall youthful-looking complexion. Like any other non-invasive treatment, dermal fillers may leave you with redness or swelling and, in some cases, very minor bruising — but these effects should subside within 24 hours.

Filler lasts a bit longer than other treatments, like Botox. However, if you don’t touch up your filler within about a year, your skin will eventually return to its original appearance. Overall, filler does a great job of lifting the brows and smoothing your overall complexion.

Dysport

Similarly to Botox, Dysport, can be injected between the brows — another perfectly viable option for non-surgical brow lifts.

Dysport will relax the muscles of your forehead and eliminate wrinkles and fine lines, giving you that lifted look. Dysport and Botox mainly differ in their molecular makeup, but they achieve the same goal — in this case, a brow lift. When choosing between one or the other, it just comes down to personal preference and your provider's recommendation.

Like filler and Botox, you'll need follow-up Dysport treatments to maintain your results. However, upkeep with this non-surgical treatment is very simple and effective — the injections are relatively painless and quick, with very minimal downtime. If a brow lift is on your horizon, Dysport is a great option to consider.
