Alexis Keen PA-C

Physician Assistant | Franklin, TN

“I love building relationships with my patients — especially having the opportunity to create custom skin care plans with product and treatment recommendations that can help people feel confident in their skin.”

Alexis was born and raised in Knoxville, TN. At a young age, she knew she wanted to pursue medicine, so she worked as a medical assistant through high school and college at a family practice. Through clinical experience and shadowing various medical providers in different fields, she grew to love the NP/PA role — specifically in dermatology — and decided she wanted to pursue that career path early on.

After receiving her Bachelors in Health and Human Sciences at the University of Tennessee in 2016, she immediately moved to Nashville to start her Physician Assistant studies at Trevecca Nazarene University. She earned her Masters of Science in Medicine in 2018 and is a board-certified Physician Assistant through the NCCPA.

Alexis worked in dermatology for over two years, where she diagnosed and treated many skin conditions and performed surgical procedures to remove skin cancers. Many of her patients had damaged skin, skin cancers and concerns with aging. She not only saw how important preventative measures are to avoid these concerns, but also how improving patients’ skin through medical-grade skin care and aesthetic treatments could restore their confidence and improve their quality of life. She’s proud to be at Skin Pharm, whose overall mission is the same.

Outside of Skin Pharm, Alexis loves spending time with her husband, daughter and dog. She loves traveling, exploring, reading and eating good food, too.

A note from Alexis –

I’ve had many patients using medical-grade skin care and SPF for years, and the difference in their skin as they’ve aged is amazing. It’s NEVER too late to start — adopting a skin care routine is just all about consistency! As far as treatment goes, my favorite would be Dysport injections. I have a lot of facial movement, which can make me seem overly expressive. Dysport diminishes my fine lines and helps me look refreshed, giving me natural results that maintain my genuine expressions, too.
