"I love cosmetic dermatology because it gives me the opportunity to work with patients to help them recognize and enhance their strengths. It’s not about completely changing your appearance, but being the best version of yourself!"
Sarah was born and raised in Knoxville, TN and moved to Nashville in 2007 to attend Belmont University. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Sarah began her career as a Registered Nurse on a medical/surgical unit at University of Tennessee Medical Center before transferring to the Surgical Intensive Care Unit at Vanderbilt Medical Center. Although she learned a lot during her time as an inpatient RN, Sarah felt passionate about furthering her education to become a Nurse Practitioner. She returned to Belmont University and obtained a Master of Science in Nursing in 2015. Since becoming a Nurse Practitioner, she has worked in walk-in clinics, college health services and served as faculty at Belmont University School of Nursing. She completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, in March 2020.
Sarah has always had an interest in cosmetic dermatology and has been a patient at Skin Pharm since it opened in 2017. Sarah appreciates that Skin Pharm supports providers spending ample time with patients to ensure their needs are met. She feels passionate about recommending skin care routines that are effective and practical for each individual patient.
In my late twenties, taking care of my skin became top priority. I wish I would have placed more emphasis on skin care in my younger years in order to prevent permanent damage and aging. (We live and learn, I guess!) Fortunately, Skin Pharm gives me the platform to assist patients in making necessary changes to prevent long-term complications. It’s never too late to make a positive change.
