Many people think of self-care as a luxury, something you do after all your other needs are met. While self-care may seem superfluous to other basic needs, it shouldn’t be an afterthought. Sometimes, just getting outside is what you need to improve your mood. If the great outdoors is your favorite form of therapy, Franklin has you covered there, too. There are around 10 running trails in the Franklin area, or you can take a walk across the Natchez Trace Parkway Bridge.

For example, just outside of Franklin is Leiper’s Fork, which has a distillery, art galleries (in fact, it’s considered one of the top art destinations in the Nashville area), antique stores and unique eateries. It’s well worth the drive.
